As well as acting in respect of medical negligence cases via our professional negligence team, we also work with a large number of barristers to provide a wide range of medical professionals and employers and health trusts with defences to claims for malpractice, as well as successfully defending medical practitioners in relation to fitness to practise proceedings brought by their Regulatory Bodies (such as the General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing & Midwifery Council NMC etc. We are a leading firm in this area and we pride ourselves on achieving the best possible results for our clients. We have also acted for medical practitioners in making claims for unlawful working conditions whether exposure to medical harm without adequate PPE or subjecting them to unreasonable working conditions, PTSD claims and automatically unfair dismissals due to health and safety issues under the Employment Rights Act.

ADL Solicitors has two founding Partners. All other staff are engaged as independent consultants to the firm as cases and workloads require, the details of these consultants is subject to confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements. Consultants bill hourly rates and receive proportional fee-related consultancy fees. This process permits the firm to take on large cases and expand its workforce accordingly without incurring large overheads for staff who are not fully engaged and allows the firm to match the resources of large law firms. (This includes qualified solicitors on maternity leave or with young families who wish to work remotely). All staff are supervised by a partner. All engaged staff are qualified as solicitors, barristers or qualified as the equivalent in overseas compatible jurisdictions.
